ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION

Mission Statement

At Camp Moshava Alevy, we believe in raising the next generation of proud and compassionate Jews-campers who combine strength and humility, with the power to inspire and the heart to lift up those around them. Guided by the values of Torah Va’Avodah and Religious Zionism, our mission is to instill kindness, a deep love for Am Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael,  with the ultimate goal of living in Israel.

Camp life reflects this vision. From meaningful learning and inspiring role models, to unforgettable friendships and adventures, Moshava Alevy provides an environment where campers grow socially, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. It’s more than just a summer-it’s a family, a community, and a journey that empowers every camper to discover who they are and who they can become.

Our Name

We started out in 2013 through a partnership with the Shalom Institute, a non-denominational campsite in the heart of Malibu, and thus our nascent Modern Orthodox/Zionist camp was launched as Moshava Malibu.  After our 2014 season, we acquired our own site in the San Bernardino Mountains and moved to Running Springs CA, changing our name to Moshava California. On April 9th, 2018, in gratitude to the generosity of Mr. Allen and Mrs. Deanna Alevy, we officially changed our name to Moshava Alevy in memory of their parents Norton and Sylvia Alevy z"l. Our Staff

At Moshava Alevy, our staff are more than just counselors and directors — they’re mentors, role models, and family. Each member of our team brings energy, passion, and a deep love for creating meaningful experiences.
